Genesys is committed to delivering advanced geospatial intelligence to our global clientele. Role Description This is a full-time on-site Product Manager role based in Mumbai. The Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and launch of GIS products, managing product lifecycles, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Daily tasks include market research, product strategy development, and ensuring alignment with client requirements. The Product Manager will also be involved in managing project timelines, budgeting, and optimizing product performance to achieve company goals. Job Responsibilities: • The Product Manager will be responsible for leading the development, launch, and continuous improvement of innovative location intelligence and GIS products. • This role demands strong ownership of the product lifecycle, from ideation to scaling, with a focus on customer-centricity, business alignment, and market competitiveness. • The Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, drive product vision and roadmap execution, and ensure that products meet customer needs and organizational goals. • Own and drive the end-to-end product lifecycle — from concept, requirements gathering, design, development, launch, to post-launch enhancements. Define and refine product requirements through direct customer interaction, user research, data analysis, and competitive intelligence. • Develop, maintain, and communicate the product roadmap aligned with business strategy and customer priorities. • Collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI, data science, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful and timely product releases. • Make informed decisions about product features, priorities, and trade-offs based on data-driven insights and stakeholder inputs. • Engage directly with customers and end users to gather in-depth feedback, validate product hypotheses, and drive adoption. • Monitor and analyze key product metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities; take corrective actions where needed. • Champion the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring user needs and pain points are addressed effectively. • Create business cases for new initiatives, including opportunity sizing, cost-benefit analysis, and go-to-market strategies. • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on product status, key achievements, risks, and mitigation plans. • Guide and mentor junior team members on best practices in product management. • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create product positioning, messaging, and customer communication strategies. • Stay abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape in the location intelligence and GIS industry. Maintain comprehensive documentation related to product decisions, specifications, Qualifications & Experience: • MBA from a recognized Tier-1 or strong Tier-2 institution. • 4–8 years of overall work experience, with at least 2 years specifically in product management or a closely related field. (Experience in GIS, geospatial technologies, SaaS, analytics, or enterprise products is highly desirable.) Required skills: • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a sharp focus on customer and business outcomes. • Solid data analysis skills; proficient with tools such as Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, or other BI platforms. • Excellent communication and storytelling skills — ability to communicate product ideas clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels. • Ability to prioritize ruthlessly in a fast-paced, evolving environment. • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies for product development. • Intermediate understanding of GIS, mapping, or geospatial concepts is a significant advantage. Preferred skills Prior experience launching or scaling technology products, especially B2B/B2G products. • Hands-on experience with GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS, Mapbox, etc.). • Exposure to user research techniques and customer validation methodologies.
