Job Description

As a General Manager for Production & Merchandising, you will be overseeing and leading all production and merchandising operations. Your responsibilities will include: - Overseeing Production Operations: You will be directing and managing all aspects of the production process, from sourcing raw materials to final product delivery. It is essential to ensure adherence to quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and timely completion of orders. - Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing production strategies and goals aligned with the overall company objectives. You will evaluate current production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards. - Team Leadership: Building and leading a cohesive and high-performing production team. Providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure individual and team success. You will foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the production department. - Quality Assurance: Establishing and maintaining stringent quality control measures throughout the production process. Ensuring compliance with industry standards, product specifications, and customer requirements. Implementing corrective actions when necessary to address quality issues. - Cost Management: Monitoring production costs, analyzing variances, and developing strategies to control expenses. Identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or delivery timelines. Implementing measures to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste. - Supply Chain Collaboration: Collaborating with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials, optimize inventory levels, and maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors. - Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Developing and maintaining production performance metrics and reporting systems. Regularly monitoring and evaluating production efficiency, quality, and employee performance. You will prepare reports and present findings to senior management. - Setting up SOPs & Processes: The ability to set up SOPs and Processes for the whole process to smoothen up. Leading and making the whole team follow SOPs and processes for future growth and current operations. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior production management role within the garment industry. - In-depth knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, including cutting, sewing, finishing, and quality control. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. - Bachelor's/Master's degree in a related field preferred.,
