General Manager - Production and Operations

As a professional in the field of Refractory manufacturing, you will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Following, respecting, and establishing all EHS guidelines, protocols, etc., in the workplace to achieve the zero accident goal. - Ensuring the overall production of all lines while maintaining utmost safety and quality standards. - Meeting production schedules provided by sales teams and achieving annual budget/forecast. - Conducting product costing regularly in consultation with the supply chain, QC, and finance team. - Actively participating in process improvement, cost optimization, IMS, 5S, TPM, Training, etc. - Booking production in SAP and reconciling book stock with physical stock. - Ensuring monthly closing on time to capture correct data in terms of cost booking. - Participating in KAIZENS (improvement jobs) and encouraging team involvement. - Participating in all EHS initiatives to foster a robust safety culture. - Ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory matters as per industrial law. - Coordinating with other functions for the smooth operation of the plant. Skills & Competencies required for this role include: - Professional background in managing operations of Refractory manufacturing (Bricks, Monolithic, Ready shapes, snorkel, etc.). - Solid technical skills enabling comprehensive understanding of industrial processes. - Ability to lead entire operation teams effectively. - Experience in multicultural environments with an open-minded approach. - Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and other operating software. - Six Sigma Green Belt certification or any equivalent Lean certification. Qualifications for this position: - Essential: B.Tech in Ceramics/Chemical with 15-20 years of experience, age limit 45 years. - Preferred: Work experience in Refractory Plants, preferably Basic brick manufacturing.,
