Position:

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Marketing & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in international markets for 100% woven fabric casual shirts.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to target high-value customers and identify new product segments.
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships through consistent engagement and value-added services.

2. Client & Brand Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between international brands and internal teams.
  • Maintain and expand key accounts by understanding brand requirements, seasonal calendars, and brand DNA.
  • Oversee costing, sampling, negotiations, and order execution while ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to quality standards.

3. Product Development & Merchandising Oversight

  • Lead the development of woven casual shirt collections based on seasonal trends, brand briefs, and fabric innovations.
  • Collaborate with design, R&D, and production teams to align products with client expectations.
  • Monitor all merchandising processes, including sampling, T&A, production tracking, and shipment planning.

4. Fabric & Technical Expertise

  • Provide strategic input on sourcing woven fabrics (yarn-dyed, solid dyed, and printed materials).
  • Partner with mills and suppliers to ensure quality, innovation, and cost efficiency.
  • Guide the team on fabric selection, garment construction, trims, and wash techniques for casual shirts.

5. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor the merchandising and marketing team, fostering a high-performance, client-centric culture.
  • Ensure seamless coordination with design, production, QA/QC, and logistics for efficient workflow.
  • Track KPIs, sales performance, and operational efficiency across all active accounts.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or Business Management.
  • 15+ years of proven experience in woven apparel marketing & merchandising with international exposure.
  • Hands-on experience with major global brands such as GANT, Marc O’Polo, US Polo, Balmain Paris, etc.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a strategic mindset to scale business.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of woven fabrics, casual shirt manufacturing, and global compliance standards.
