We are expanding our in-house gearbox design capability and looking for a technically strong professional to join our engineering design team.

Job Summary

Gearbox Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end

  design of industrial gearboxes

  for rolling mills and tube mills.
• Perform

  gear and shaft calculations

  using

  KISSsoft

  and/or in-house Excel tools.
• Selection and sizing of

  geared motors, couplings, bearings

  , and related components.
• Generate

  3D models

  , assemblies, and

  detailed manufacturing drawings

  using

  SolidWorks

  ,

  Inventor

  , and

  AutoCAD Mechanical

  .
• Prepare

  layout plans

  ,

  foundation drawings

  , and

  BOMs

  .
• Provide

  technical support to junior designers

  and production teams.
• Collaborate with clients for

  technical discussions, on-site support, and customizations

  .
• Continuous improvement of gearbox design to enhance performance and durability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4-10 years

  of relevant experience in mechanical design, particularly in

  gearbox design

  for heavy industrial equipment.
• Strong command over

  KISSsoft

  ,

  SolidWorks

  ,

  AutoCAD

  ,

  Inventor

  , and

  MS Excel-based calculations

  .
• Experience in

  rolling mills, tube mills

  , and heavy fabrication machinery is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with

  hydraulic cylinder design

  ,

  accumulator speed calculations

  , and

  conveyor system sizing

  .
• Excellent drawing interpretation and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior team members.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in

  Mechanical Engineering

  from a recognized university.

Preferred Certifications

• Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWPA) Sheet Metal (by Dassault Systmes) is a strong plus.
