The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in mechanical systems, particularly in gears, shafts, bearings, and related assemblies, with hands-on proficiency in CAD tools and PLM systems. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of 23 engineers and oversee the execution of multiple driveline projects. Manage complete project lifecycle fromplanning to execution in alignment with business timelines and quality standards. Create3D models and 2D drawingsusing Creo, with emphasis on part modeling and detailing. Work extensively withPLM toolssuch as Windchill or Teamcenter for data and design management. UtilizeERP systemslike SAP or Oracle for project coordination and tracking. Conduct and validategear and shaft design calculationsusing tools likeRomaxorKisssoft. Apply advanced knowledge ofGD&Tand performtolerance stack-upanalysis. Develop and reviewDFMEA,DFA, andDFSdocumentation. Understand themanufacturing processes,heat treatment, andmaterial propertiesfor shafts, gears, and other forging or casting components. Designation: Design Engineer (Gearbox Design) Qualifications: B.E in Mechanical Engineering Experience: 2 to 7 Years Location: Pune Department: R&D- Electro Mechanics Key Responsibilities: Responsible for creating Specification, Drawing & Bill of Material of Gearbox Components. Responsible for Design Modelling & Drafting related to product/project of geared motors. Responsible for timely delivery of Engineering outputs in accordance with established schedules. Co-ordination with Cross Functional Team as per the requirement of Project. Work according to design codes and software tools assigned. Design & Optimization of casting parts. Participate in Functional testing of prototype of geared motors. Active participation in localization & VA/VE. Review various documents, drawings received from suppliers & give comments or acceptance when required. Skills: Must have: Expert knowledge of ISO / DIN norm and methodology for calculating the load capacity. Experience in design of Gearbox, transmission and / or powertrain. Strong Mechanical Design fundamentals. Hands-on expertise in design software like Romax, KISS Soft. Experience in Siemens NX Unigraphics. Having experience in any PLM/ERP, SAP, Team Centre system. Good communications written and spoken English. Good to have: Working experience of Industrial Gearbox / geared Motor Industry. Speaking / understanding German language. Experience of working in a global cross functional team.
