Site Overview:

Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only Indias defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape Indias aerospace ecosystem

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop and implement manufacturing processes for Aerospace Tubes and Ducts including metal forming, fabrication, machining, NDT, chemical processing, and heat treatment to ensure high-quality precision products.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, including AS9100, AS9102, APQP, PPAP, and NadCap requirements.
  • Utilize CAD software such as Unigraphics and AutoCAD to design and modify tools, fixtures, and manufacturing layouts.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precise and accurate product specifications.
  • own the New Product Introduction (NPI) projects in assigned part family with APQP implementation and support the product thru the lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production and quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Monitor and deliver on business KPIs and metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technologies and processes.

Ideal Candidate :

General Fabrication (Tubes & Ducts, Structures combination machine parts, sheet metal parts)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with 2 years minimum in the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, APQP, PPAP, and NadCap processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including Unigraphics and AutoCAD.
  • Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with the design and implementation of tools and fixtures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Adequate project management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies.
