As a GCP Services Architect at our company, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing cloud infrastructure and solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess requirements, develop cloud architectures, and ensure best practices for security, scalability, and performance. Your technical expertise and leadership will be crucial throughout the lifecycle of cloud projects, from initial planning to deployment and support. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures on GCP - Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Google Deployment Manager - Create architectural diagrams and documentation for solutions and present them to stakeholders - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful cloud deployments - Translate business requirements into cloud architecture solutions - Lead technical teams in the implementation of GCP services and solutions - Utilize core GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and other GCP technologies - Integrate GCP services with on-premises and other cloud systems as needed - Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for security, identity, and access management - Implement and manage network security configurations and other security measures - Optimize cloud resource utilization and architecture for cost efficiency - Utilize GCP monitoring and logging tools to analyze and improve system performance - Stay updated on GCP offerings, best practices, and industry trends - Propose and implement new technologies and practices to improve cloud infrastructure and processes Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in cloud storage, Google Deployment Manager, BigQuery, GCP, Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Pub/Sub, Terraform, and infrastructure as code (IaC) - Strong understanding of security and compliance principles - Experience in performance optimization and cost efficiency in cloud environments - Knowledge of network security configurations and monitoring tools - Familiarity with security, identity, and access management best practices - Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and translate business requirements into technical solutions If you find the above role exciting and challenging, we encourage you to apply and be part of our team at careers.cognizant.com.
