GCP Lead

As a System Administrator with 6 to 9 years of experience, including 4 to 7 years in GCP and DevOps, you will be responsible for designing GCP architecture tailored to meet customer requirements. Your role will involve setting up, deploying, and managing infrastructure, applications, and databases on GCP. You will be tasked with overseeing the customer's cloud environment on GCP, identifying performance bottlenecks, and implementing optimization strategies using tools like database indexes, Varnish, Memcache, Redis, and CloudFront. Your responsibilities will include implementing auto-scaling mechanisms such as Node & pod Autoscaling, automating deployments through CI&CD practices, and streamlining repetitive tasks using scripts or tools like Jenkins. Additionally, you will configure centralized configuration management using tools like Chef, OpsWorks, Puppet, or Ansible. Experience in containerization with Docker and Orchestration on containers like Kubernetes and Openswam will be essential for this role. You will be expected to drive solution responses to RFPs for Cloud or Container-Based Platforms with Orchestration and Automation Frameworks. Familiarity with cloud concepts such as Virtualization, Containers, Container Orchestration, Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenStack, as well as cloud networking and relevant internet protocols, will be advantageous. Furthermore, your role will involve application and solution development using Linux Containers, Docker, and more. Managing permissions, backups, and performance across different databases like MySQL, MSSQL, and Postgres will be part of your responsibilities. You will also lead teams across multiple projects, understand client requirements, propose solutions, and ensure successful delivery. Innovation and continuous improvement in overall infrastructure will be encouraged. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Being a self-starter capable of delivering under tight timelines is crucial. You should be comfortable contributing both as a lead and an individual. Desirable qualities for this role include prior experience in managing infrastructure for public-facing web applications, expertise in GCP Design & Deployment, proficiency in DevOps tools like Jenkins, familiarity with Kubernetes (GKE) & Anthos, experience in handling client communications, and knowledge of any scripting language.,
