Role Overview

Part-Time Consultant

Key Responsibilities

Provide
architectural consulting
for GCP BigQuery to Azure Fabric migration.
Review existing BigQuery datasets, schemas, pipelines, and workloads.
Define
migration strategy, architecture blueprint, and best practices
.
Assist teams in designing and building
Azure Fabric Data Pipelines
(Lakehouse, Dataflows, Notebooks).
Support in translating BigQuery SQL, ETL pipelines, and transformations to Azure Fabric equivalents.
Conduct periodic reviews, troubleshooting, and technical advisory sessions.
Mentor internal teams on Azure Fabric standards and migration patterns.

Required Skills & Experience

15+ years
total experience in data engineering, solution architecture, and cloud data platforms.
Proven hands-on experience in
GCP BigQuery
design, optimization, and administration.
Minimum
3+ years working on BigQuery systems
in production environments.
Expert in Azure Fabric
, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Pipelines, and Data Engineering experiences.
Strong practical experience in
migrating datasets, ETL logic, and workloads
from BigQuery to Azure.
Proficiency in
SQL, Python, Spark, and cloud-native data orchestration
.
Excellent communication skills for advisory and stakeholder interactions.
