Your role at Siemens Energy as a Gas Turbine Combustion Mechanical Design Engineer will be challenging and future-oriented. You will be responsible for designing Gas Turbine Combustion and casing components to meet various design requirements. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing Gas Turbine Combustion and casing components such as combustion liner, nozzles, transition duct, fuel piping system, exit diffusers, casing, etc. - Applying robust design methods like tolerance stack up, GD&T, analysis, standards, and design rules. - Collaborating with FEA analyst, HT engineer, Aero-designer to finalize the design concept. - Conducting technical checking of Engineering drawings/PMI and BOM of Gas Turbine components. - Developing innovative design solutions and controlling the risk of design changes with methods like FMEA, QFD. - Creating, evaluating, and reviewing technical documents such as purchasing specifications, working specifications, checklists, standard part calculations. - Participating in technical reviews, risk assessments, serviceability evaluations, and fault report considerations. - Identifying and exploring cost reduction opportunities. To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications: - Bachelor, master's, or PhD in mechanical engineering/design from a recognized college/university. - 7-10 years of work experience with mechanical design exposure, preferably in Gas Turbine combustion components. - Basic knowledge of mechanical design, strength of material, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. - Desirable knowledge of Gas turbine combustion principles, thermo-acoustics, aero-design principles, emissions, etc. - Basic mechanical integrity knowledge with the ability to perform simple hand calculations. - Experience in applying GD&T and tolerance stack up. - Sound knowledge of manufacturing/assembly/fabrication processes. - Exposure to CAD software (UG-NX preferred), SAP, PLM, CPD Teamcenter, MS Office. - Good communication skills in English language (Verbal & Written). - Strong interpersonal skills such as being a team player, quick learner, imaginative, and innovative.
