Garment Technician

Job Description

Job Title: Garment Technician Experience: 5+ years and above Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Garment Technician to oversee the technical aspects of garment development and production. The ideal candidate will ensure that all samples and final garments meet the design specifications, fit standards, and quality requirements. The role involves close coordination with designers, pattern makers, sampling teams, and production units. Key Responsibilities: Review design tech packs and provide technical input for garment construction, fit, and manufacturing feasibility Work closely with pattern makers to develop accurate patterns and ensure proper fit Conduct fit sessions and ensure garments match the required measurements and construction standards Analyze and resolve technical issues in pre-production and during bulk manufacturing Approve pre-production samples (PP) and top of production (TOP) samples Suggest construction techniques to improve garment quality and ease of manufacturing Work with QA, sampling, and production teams to ensure compliance with quality standards Provide feedback on fabric behavior, stitching techniques, trims, and finishing Document technical specifications, measurement charts, and grading rules Monitor pilot runs and recommend changes if necessary Requirements: Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, or related field 3–7 years of experience in a similar role in the garment/textile industry Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fit Familiarity with woven, knit, and stretch fabrics Proficient in technical documentation and measurement charts Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Knowledge of industry standards and quality assurance procedures Preferred Skills (if applicable): Experience in export or high-fashion production houses Familiarity with CAD tools or 3D fitting software Knowledge of compliance standards (GOTS, SA8000, etc.) Ability to handle multiple product categories Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person
