Game Developer

The Game Developer will act as the primary liaison between our company and the external game development studio. This individual will oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of game projects aligned with business goals. The role blends technical understanding, project management, creative vision, and strong communication skills to ensure high-quality, timely outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management & Coordination

• Act as the main point of contact between the internal team and external game development studio.
• Define game project scope, timelines, budgets, and milestones.
• Track project progress using agile or hybrid methodologies.
• Ensure alignment of external studio deliverables with internal expectations and deadlines.
• Facilitate sprint reviews, feedback loops, and iterative development.

2. Game Design & Development Oversight

• Collaborate on game design, mechanics, level design, and UX/UI feedback.
• Review and assess prototypes, wireframes, gameplay features, and creative assets.
• Suggest gameplay improvements based on testing and data analysis.

3. Quality Assurance & Performance Monitoring

• Ensure the delivery of polished, bug-free game builds.
• Coordinate alpha/beta testing and user feedback cycles.
• Track KPIs and game performance metrics post-launch.

4. Stakeholder Communication

• Translate technical and creative updates to non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide regular progress reports to leadership and partners.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and monetization teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Game Design, Interactive Media, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in game development, project management, or related roles.
• Proven experience managing outsourced development teams or liaising with external studios.
• Strong understanding of Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar platforms (working knowledge required).
• Experience in mobile, PC, or cross-platform game publishing is a plus.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
