As a VFX Producer, you will be responsible for creating effects like smoke, fire, clouds, water, steam, and explosions in high-end feature films. Your role will involve utilizing particle and voxel based rendering techniques with a keen eye for detail and a good sense of timing. You should have a thorough understanding of physical simulation technologies in computer graphics and experience in feature animation FX work. Key Responsibilities: - Proven production experience on multiple high-end feature films - Producing a variety of effects including smoke, fire, clouds, water, steam, and explosions - Working with particle and voxel based rendering - Extensive knowledge of Houdini - Familiarity with pipeline issues and problem-solving - Familiarity with node-based compositing applications (Nuke preferred) Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in producing visual effects - Extensive knowledge of Houdini - Familiarity with node-based compositing applications - Strong understanding of Linux/Unix based operating systems - Maya, Python, Hscript, or Mel knowledge If you have experience in other areas of visual effects such as film, TV, or games, it will be considered a plus. A good general technical director background is beneficial, along with a positive, can-do attitude. Being organized, proactive, and a self-starter is essential. You should be a team player with excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate. Adapting to new skills and techniques, including proprietary software, and remaining calm under pressure to meet production deadlines are key attributes for this role.,
