We are a team of talented developers, artists, designers, and storytellers, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the gaming and animation industry Our mission is to create exceptional products that inspire, entertain, and challenge players and viewers alike We believe in the power of creativity, and we strive to infuse every aspect of our work with imagination and originality At Giant Pixel, we are committed to excellence in everything we do We value collaboration, transparency, and communication, and we are constantly seeking ways to improve and evolve our processes and products Join us on a journey of innovation, creativity, and excellence at Giant Pixel Discover why we are one of the leading video game development and animated movie production studios in the world Job Description Create high-quality, physically accurate FX (fire, smoke, water, destruction, particles, etc,) that enhance storytelling and visual impact Collaborate closely with the FX Supervisor, CG Supervisor, and other departments to ensure effects are seamlessly integrated into shots Work with the Production and Pipeline teams to meet schedules and deadlines, providing clear communication on task progress and any technical challenges Use software such as Houdini, Maya, and Nuke, along with studio pipeline tools (e-g , Shotgrid, version control systems) to produce, track, and publish FX assets Proactively troubleshoot and resolve technical and artistic issues related to FX simulation, rendering, and integration Maintain clean and organized project files and documentation to support a collaborative production environment Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience as an FX Artist in feature animation, VFX, or a related field Proficiency in industry-standard FX software such as Houdini, Maya, and Nuke Strong understanding of physics-based simulations including fire, smoke, explosions, water, and destruction Experience working within a production pipeline using tools like ShotGrid and version control systems Basic knowledge of scripting (Python, VEX, MEL) is a plus Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to take direction and respond positively to feedback Strong time-management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines on multiple tasks Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and creative production environment
