Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Fitter / Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing furniture products at customer locations, ensuring they meet our companys high standards of quality and functionality. The role involves working closely with customers, delivering exceptional service, and troubleshooting any issues related to furniture installation and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Furniture Assembly and Installation:
  • Assemble and install a variety of furniture, including office furniture, home furniture, and custom pieces.
  • Ensure all furniture is correctly and securely assembled according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Install and configure any required accessories or additional components (e.g., hardware, shelving, doors, etc.).
  • Maintenance and Repair:
  • Provide repair services for damaged furniture, including fixing broken parts, tightening loose components, and addressing other functional or aesthetic issues.
  • Replace defective parts or components, ensuring the furnitures functionality and appearance are restored to its original condition.
  • Customer Interaction:
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding installation times, progress, and completion.
  • Address customer queries and concerns with patience, providing solutions or escalating issues as needed.
  • Offer product care and maintenance advice to customers.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that all installed furniture is level, sturdy, and functional.
  • Perform final checks to ensure no damage occurred during the installation or assembly process.
  • Workplace Safety and Cleanliness:
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace at all times.
  • Follow health and safety regulations while operating tools and equipment.
  • Clean the work area and remove any waste or leftover packaging after completing tasks.
  • Tool and Equipment Maintenance:
  • Operate various hand and power tools safely to complete furniture assembly and installation.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues or needed repairs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a furniture fitter, technician, or in a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with furniture assembly techniques and tools.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
  • Good physical fitness, able to lift heavy furniture and work in various environments.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid driver’s license (if required for travel between locations).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a variety of furniture styles and materials (wood, metal, etc.).
  • Knowledge of office furniture systems (e.g., cubicles, modular desks).
  • Certification in furniture repair or assembly (optional).

Working Conditions:

  • Regular travel to customer sites for furniture installation or repair.
  • Full-time or part-time positions available.
  • Flexible working hours may be required based on customer needs.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend work may be necessary.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
