Furniture Designer

As a Furniture Designer at Twigs Direct, based in Gurugram, you will be responsible for translating client ideas into attractive products that meet their needs. Proficiency in creating 3D designs using Rhino is essential for this role. You should also be adept at working within budget constraints and be able to showcase previous works through a portfolio. Collaboration with the carpentry and production teams will be a key part of your daily tasks, so a willingness to be hands-on in the workshop is important. You will work closely with clients and external interior design teams to ensure that the furniture aligns with the overall design concept. Staying updated with industry trends and materials is crucial to ensure high-quality design and functionality. Qualifications for this role include a passion for Furniture Design and Product Design, knowledge of Carpentry and Furniture making, skills in Interior Design, a strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications, attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field, preferably from NID, is required. Experience in the furniture industry is a plus. Proficiency in Rhino and AutoCAD is necessary, and if needed, brushing up your Rhino skills before the interview is recommended.
