Funding Product Control - Associate

Product Control is a significant department within Controllers at Goldman Sachs, supporting the Securities and Asset Management divisions across various asset classes. Your role involves producing and analyzing daily trading activities, reporting profits and losses, and verifying the values of positions held by the trading desks. You will liaise extensively with trading desks, Risk Management Group, Operations Teams, and colleagues in Controllers. It is expected that you develop a good understanding of monitored products and trading desk strategies. As a Product Controller, you will: - Monitor trading activities intelligently to ensure controlled support for the business. - Stay informed of all developments and issues in your trading areas. - Collaborate effectively with the Business and other Federation teams like Operations, Risk, Tax, Technology & Treasury. - Assess risks associated with trading positions, including market, compliance, or reputational risks. - Prepare daily P&L and other financial analyses. - Conduct independent price verification on trading inventories. - Perform month-end procedures for preparing financial statements. Qualifications: - Knowledge of financial products and market awareness. - Strong communication skills. - Team player with a strong character and control mindset to work under pressure. - Self-confidence to engage with various internal clients. - Excellent MS Office skills and highly numerate. - Willingness to take on extra responsibilities. - 2-4 years of experience.
