Functional Tester

Direct Responsibilities

• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal third-parties to analyze testing

requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases, Test

Completion Report and sign-off, exception reporting and follow-up.

• Excellent knowledge and relevant experience in test automation tools and techniques, both for data

entry and for comparison of test results (e.g. on screen, in reports, in database, performance and

scalability tests)

• Experience in managing and maintaining test data, which allows reproducible results and comparison

between successive test runs

• Strong analytical and quick learning skills required, to handle test cases in a rich and complex

architecture with many interconnected applications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a

diverse group, managers, subject matter experts and technical teams.

Mandatory (Testing Skills):

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in software testing with experience in Wealth Management banking domain.

• Proficient in test life cycle. o Manual Functional testing with various techniques o Integration testing with Stubs and Drivers o System Integration testing o End to End testing

• Hands-on experience in writing test cases for complex projects, test data preparation and test execution.

• Hands-on experience in writing test cases using technical specification documents.

• Test cases optimization to achieve coverage and quality.

• Proficient in using Quality Center/ HP- ALM and JIRA

• Coordination with various teams on testing activities (understanding application/domain/requirements, test cases writing, execution and defects).

• Communication skills: o Good oral & written skills. o Report promptly (oral and written).

• Reporting to test manager on the test activities progress and data gathering to generate metrics.

• A good team player with problem-solving attitude.

• Analytical and precise: Capacity to challenge the team and convince based on facts. Mandatory (Functional Skills):

• Knowledge in Credit Risk o Financial Instruments o Rating for Financial Instruments and Rating Agencies o Derivative products: FX Forwards, FX Options, Equity Options o WM products like Credit Lines, Loans etc.,

• Knowledge of Financial Instruments: o Different types of instruments o Referential data o Prices, Ratings, Exchange rates, Money Market rates o Underlying assets, Indices Mandatory (Technical Skills):

• Experience on writing SQL queries

• Experience on using Unix basic commands
