Role: Functional Consultant Generalist Workforce Management and Dayforce

Location: Remote

Experience: 57 Years

Role Overview

The Functional Consultant for Workforce Management plays a key role in enabling effective labor planning, scheduling, and compliance through configuration and optimization of Dayforce WFM. This role collaborates with Business Analysts, HR leaders, Retail Operations, Product Managers, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless workforce processes and user adoption.

General Responsibilities

Lead the functional design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Dayforce Workforce Management modules.

Configure scheduling rules, shift templates, compliance regulations, labor standards, and pay policies.

Align WFM labor models with store operations to support labor forecasting and staffing plans.

Work with HR and Ops leadership to create workforce strategies that balance labor cost and productivity.

Support integrations with payroll, HR systems, point-of-sale systems, and financial platforms.

Manage UAT, troubleshoot issues, and guide end users through rollout and adoption.

Provide process documentation, training materials, and operational guidance for store users.

Drive continuous improvements and optimization of scheduling and staffing efficiency.

Skills & Key Attributes

Strong expertise in configuring WFM tools (Dayforce preferred; Kronos also relevant).

Understanding of labor scheduling policies, compliance rules, and retail labor optimization.

Strong analytical & problem-solving mindset with the ability to interpret workforce data.

Excellent communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to lead training, workshops, and support adoption.

Education & Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.

57+ years of hands-on experience in Workforce Management platforms.

Experience in retail, multi-location, or shift-based labor environments is strongly preferred.
