Functional Consultant (Accounting & consolidation)

As a Functional Consultant (Accounting & Consolidation) with 13 years of experience, your role will involve focusing on consolidation, IC elimination, reporting, and system design for enterprise clients. You will be responsible for owning accounting interpretation, requirement gathering, and validation cycles. Key Responsibilities: - Lead functional scoping workshops for consolidation, eliminations, sub-ledger, and reporting. - Translate accounting principles (IGAAP/Ind AS/IFRS basics) into system rules and business logic. - Prepare disclosure mapping, COA alignment, and reporting templates. - Validate IC mismatches, eliminations, NCI, goodwill, and closing-cycle adjustments. - Design and execute UAT scenarios and functional test scripts. - Collaborate with technical teams to drive accurate configuration and data flow. - Support client workshops, presentations, and end-user training. Qualification Required: - CA Inter/CMA Inter with articleship in audit, reporting, or consolidation. - MBA Finance or B.Com with 2-3 years of accounting or reporting experience. In addition to the qualifications, you should possess deep accounting knowledge, working familiarity with Ind AS/IFRS, strong analytical capability, exposure to EPM tools (Tagetik/Hyperion/BPC), and strong communication and stakeholder handling skills. You are expected to be structured, ambitious, and comfortable operating in a high-pressure consulting environment.,
