Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Research Scholar pursuing a PhD, based in Chennai in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tribology and Interactive Surfaces Research Laboratory under the guidance of Dr.Shubrajit Bhaumik. The role includes conducting original research, data collection and analysis, publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals, and contributing to academic activities, including presentations, seminars, and collaboration with other researchers. The candidate will work closely with faculty and research groups to meet project goals and enhance the institution's research capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong research skills, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation methodologies.
• Proficiency in academic writing, publishing, and presenting in various forums.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty and research teams on academic goals.
• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a growth-oriented mindset.
• Experience with research tools, statistical software, or other relevant technologies is a plus.
• Master's degree in a relevant field (physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering, production, materials science and metallurgy) and eligibility for a PhD program.
• Demonstrated interest in innovation and interdisciplinary research is an advantage.
