Full Stack Software Engineer (Cisco Spaces)

As a Full Stack Engineer at Cisco Spaces, you will be part of a cutting-edge cloud platform that is transforming the way businesses engage with physical spaces. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in Java, AWS, Kafka, and React to contribute to our innovative projects. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of web and backend applications. Key Responsibilities: - Backend Development: Create and sustain backend services using Java, Kotlin, Vert.x, and RESTful APIs. - Frontend Development: Construct interactive web applications using React.js, Redux, TypeScript, and modern UI libraries. - Database Management: Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases such as Graph DB, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. - Microservices & Cloud: Develop and deploy microservices on AWS and demonstrate proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS). - API Development & Integration: Implement RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration with frontend applications. - Testing & Code Quality: Write unit and integration tests using tools like Jest, Cypress, JUnit, and Mockito. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science. - 4+ years of experience in Java, Kafka, Kotlin, Node.js, JavaScript, and ReactJS. - Hands-on experience with large-scale cloud applications on AWS and familiarity with various AWS services. - Proven expertise in Java, streaming technologies (especially Kafka), REST APIs, and Web Applications. - Proficiency in tools like Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and Git. - Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with streaming technologies like Kafka for real-time applications. - Knowledge of GraphQL. - Familiarity with EKS & CDN.
