Full Stack Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop: Responsible for the development and maintenance of a toolchain that processes Mercedes-Benz car ECU software by uploading, packaging, certifying, scheduling, and deploying into the car, including Over the Air updates.
• Design: Design and implement in-house developed applications that connect to various IT systems.
• Support: Support all use cases such as software development and testing in R&D, flashing of ECU software on production lines, software updates, and diagnosis in workshops worldwide.
• Maintain: Ensure customer cars are up-to-date with software and bring updates to the worldwide fleet.
• Collaborate: Work on the new Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS) using the latest tech stack, tools, and platforms.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Frontend Development:
  • Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, Vanilla JavaScript, and ability to develop cross-browser, multilingual, interactive, responsive, and animated content.
  • Proficiency in frameworks such as React/Vue.js.
  • Experience with UI components and ability to decompose a wireframe into sub-elements; components reusability and UI multi-theming.
  • Experience with REST and APIs.
• Backend Development/Database Expertise:
  • Strong skills in modern language and framework combinations such as Java/Kotlin and Spring.
  • Proficiency in SQL technologies such as Postgres, MySQL, or similar.
  • Experience working with version control tools such as Git.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL technologies.
  • Experience with container platforms such as Docker.
  • Experience with continuous integration practices and tools such as Jenkins.
  • Experience building web/mobile back-ends and APIs.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's / Masters degree in Engineering disciplines such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Additional certifications (if any): Agile, DevOps, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):

• Domain knowledge in automotive engineering or related fields.
• Exposure to international projects and global stakeholder management.
• Experience with Daimler systems or similar global platforms.
