Full Stack Developer

As a Lead Full Stack Developer based in India, you will play a crucial role in our engineering team by leading design and development efforts across backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure layers. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with global product and engineering stakeholders, mentoring developers, making technical decisions, and crafting scalable and high-performing software systems. Your technical leadership skills will be put to the test as you oversee the design and delivery of backend services and full-stack features. You will work closely with architects and product stakeholders to ensure that requirements are translated into scalable solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the adoption of engineering best practices such as code reviews, testing, performance optimization, and CI/CD. In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you will also be actively involved in hands-on development tasks. This will involve writing and reviewing production-quality code in Python/Django, contributing to frontend development using JavaScript/React, optimizing database models and queries in PostgreSQL and MySQL, and building and managing services on AWS. Collaboration and teamwork are key aspects of this role. You will support sprint planning, estimation, and execution in Agile teams, work with cross-shore teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment on priorities, and lead technical discussions to proactively address delivery challenges. Your role will also involve mentoring junior developers, contributing to hiring and onboarding efforts, and advocating for a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 8 years of software development experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role. You should also possess strong hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails and/or Python/Django, experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, solid knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure, and familiarity with frontend development using React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS. Additionally, you should have a good understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing practices, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred qualifications for this role include professional experience in scaling web applications in production environments, a deep understanding of RESTful API design, microservices, and distributed systems, the ability to mentor and guide teams across time zones, experience in leading agile delivery in fast-paced product teams, and a passion for clean, maintainable code and modern engineering practices.,
