Job Description

About The Role Capgemini Engineering is seeking an experienced Network Design and Test engineer (Transport) to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and execute system test plans for SD-WAN & Transport ensuring the highest levels of quality and performance. You will also conduct network deployment planning and Transport & DWDM network testing, all while collaborating with key technology partners and delivering top-notch service verification. Develop detailed network designs and architecture and ensure scalability and reliability in every solution. Utilize network design tools and software to create comprehensive network diagrams and documentation. System TestingDesign, develop, and conduct comprehensive system tests for SD-WAN, DWDM/Transport solutions, including verification, regression, stability, and performance tests. Test Planning and ExecutionCreate test plans for new features and conduct regression testing to maintain product quality. Test Network ManagementConfigure and manage test networks that mirror real-world scenarios and document all procedures and outcomes. Fixed Network TestingDevelop and execute test plans for fixed networks, working with network elements for Infinera 7300, G34c chassis and TNMS and SDN controller. Network Deployment PlanningCreate strategic plans for network infrastructure with a focus on scalability and reliability. MoP PreparationDevelop detailed deployment plans, specifying router, switch, security appliance, and network element configurations. Hardware Installation and VerificationOversee hardware installations, conduct tests for new components, and perform loopback tests. Service VerificationEnsure services are online after network migration and troubleshoot any issues as needed. Stakeholder CommunicationProvide regular updates throughout the project. Cross-Functional TrainingDeliver training on DWDM network components to various teams. Experience on Nokia 7450, 7750 devices would be preferred. About The Role - Grade Specific Focus on Industrial Operations Engineering. Fully competent in own area. Acts as a key contributor in a more complex/ critical environment. Proactively acts to understand and anticipates client needs. Manages costs and profitability for a work area. Manages own agenda to meet agreed targets. Develop plans for projects in own area. Looks beyond the immediate problem to the wider implications. Acts as a facilitator, coach and moves teams forward. Skills (competencies)
