Frontend UI Intern

As a UI Developer Intern, you will collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and frontend developers to bring to life responsive and interactive user interfaces. Your role will involve translating designs from tools like Figma or Adobe XD into precise HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code. Additionally, you will play a part in optimizing applications for speed and scalability, working on CMS-based websites and e-commerce platforms, and contributing to usability testing and user feedback collection for UI enhancements. Staying abreast of the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. You must possess strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including Tailwind CSS & Bootstrap), and JavaScript (ES6+), along with familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React.js and NextJS. A basic understanding of responsive design, mobile-first development, and experience with Git and version control are essential for this role. Desirable skills include hands-on experience or exposure to tools like Next.js for server-side rendered React applications, WordPress (basic theme or content editing knowledge), Shopify (liquid templates, store customizations, or admin dashboard familiarity), and design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch. Basic knowledge of RESTful APIs for frontend-backend connectivity, accessibility, and performance best practices, as well as familiarity with CSS preprocessors like SASS and LESS, are advantageous. Ideal candidates for this position are pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Final-year students or fresh graduates with academic projects or personal portfolio work in UI development are encouraged to apply. You will be expected to work with a range of tools and technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript (with a preference for React.js and Next.js), Git, GitHub/GitLab, and design tools like Figma.
