Role summary

• Lead the front-end team to build high-quality, scalable, user-centric web applications using React and Next.js
• Own front-end architecture, performance, and code quality while remaining 50% hands-on in development.
• Collaborate closely with backend, product, and design stakeholders to deliver business-critical features on time.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own front-end architecture (React/Next.js, SSR/SSG/ISR, state management, component libraries) with a strong focus on performance and scalability.
• Write, review, and optimize production-grade code; enforce coding standards, accessibility, security, and testing best practices.
• Lead and mentor front-end engineers through 1:1s, code reviews, and technical guidance; foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
• Partner with backend and product teams on API contracts, technical scoping, and end-to-end delivery of features.
• Drive process improvements around CI/CD, release management, and version upgrades to ensure reliable, low-friction deployments.
• Communicate status, risks, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders and help unblock the team.

Qualifications required

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of front-end development experience in ReactJS, Typescript, NextJS, HTML, and CSS.
• 2+ years in a lead/managerial role mentoring developers and owning delivery for complex projects.
• Deep knowledge of front-end architecture, performance optimization, and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) and modern Git-based workflows.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
