Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

Lead development of scalable, high-performance Android applications using Kotlin
Contribute to iOS app development using Swift (added advantage)
Convert UX/design wireframes into visually appealing, responsive UI
Architect apps for offline access, low-network environments, and strong error-handling
Integrate secure backend APIs with best-practice encryption approaches
Optimize performance, memory usage, and battery consumption
Drive CI/CD adoption, modular code structure, testing coverage, and code quality reviews
Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver rapid iteration
Mentor and help scale the mobile engineering function over time

Preferred Candidate Profile

6+ years of experience in consumer-facing mobile app development
Deep expertise in Android (Kotlin) with experience shipping high-traffic applications
Exposure to iOS development (Swift), or willingness to contribute on iOS
Strong understanding of app lifecycle, MVVM/Clean Architecture, and dependency injection
Experience with authentication, encryption, local storage, caching, and offline-first design
Product-focused mindset with commitment to user experience and outcomes
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
