Front - End Developer

As a Frontend Developer at Lumel, you will have the opportunity to mentor the team and lead by example in driving best practices in coding, standards, compatibility, performance, documentation, and reviews. You will actively participate in the development of products, extensions, and internal tools, working closely with product owners, architects, and UI/UX designers. Your responsibilities will also include creating single-page apps, visualization extensions integrating with vendor APIs, UI components, and libraries, and learning new technologies to contribute effectively to the team. You will be accountable for maintaining high code quality and diligence in unit testing, ensuring that deliverables are highly optimized for performance and usability across various browsers and devices. To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience in front-end application development and be proficient in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Vue.js. A basic knowledge of databases like MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and NoSQL is essential, along with a deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SVG. Experience with front-end tooling ecosystem, D3 or charting libraries, and SVG/CSS animations will be considered a plus. Knowledge and experience of Agile software development processes and methodologies, strong communication skills, and a minimum of 3+ years of experience in frontend development are also required. Moreover, you should be comfortable with test-driven development, pair programming, and collaborating with remote team members. Basic knowledge of plugin development, a degree in IT/CS with a strong academic background, and sound knowledge in databases will be beneficial for this role.
