Freshly Qualified CA - Indirect Tax

As an indirect tax legal assistant, your role will involve assisting in drafting replies to GST, Customs, and Service Tax notices, SCNs, and appeal documents. You will be responsible for conducting legal research on indirect tax matters, including analyzing case laws, circulars, and notifications. Your duties will also include coordinating with clients and counsel for the preparation and filing of appeals before adjudicating authorities, Appellate Authorities, Tribunals (CESTAT), and High Courts. Additionally, you will attend personal hearings along with seniors or counsels and maintain and update litigation trackers to ensure timely compliance with filing requirements. Supporting senior consultants and partners in developing litigation strategies for client matters will be part of your responsibilities. You will also be required to provide updates to clients on changes in the law or new judicial precedents relevant to ongoing disputes.
