Role Overview: As a Senior FPGA & Computer Architecture Research Engineer at Vicharak, you will lead groundbreaking projects that bring the reconfigurable computing vision to life. Your responsibilities will span across architecture design, FPGA innovation, hardware/software integration, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities: - Define and implement next-gen reconfigurable computing architectures and hardwaresoftware partitioning strategies. - Design, simulate, and optimize FPGA logic (using Verilog/VHDL) tailored to computational workloads and hardware efficiency. - Collaborate with software teams to integrate FPGA modules for AI, robotics, and edge compute applications (e.g., Vaaman and Axon). - Enable compiler-driven hardware acceleration through automated ONNX-to-FPGA translation and streamlined driver and bitstream generation tools. - Utilize profiling, benchmarking, and simulation techniques to ensure efficient system performance. - Adapt academic advances (LLVM/MLIR, architecture-specific optimization) for real-world deployments. - Guide junior engineers, share knowledge, and foster innovation within the team. Qualification Required: - Proven track record in FPGA design using Verilog/VHDL and synthesis tools. - Solid foundation in computer architecture, parallel computing, and hardwaresoftware co-design. - Proficiency in C/C++, and compiler toolchains; familiarity with LLVM, MLIR, or similar frameworks is valued. - Experience in integrating hardware accelerators with software, including abstractions, drivers, and toolchains. - Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, scripting languages (Python/Bash), and version control systems like Git or CI/CD pipelines. - Strong performance analysis and optimization skills. - Excellent communication and leadership skills.
