Formulation Development- R&D

You will be responsible for various key activities in the role, including: - NPDs aligning with business objectives: Ensuring that NPDs of businesses in the category are delivered on time meeting business requirements and ensuring robust specifications (RM, SFG and FG), BMR, and BOM. - Squeeze initiatives: Periodically undertaking squeeze initiatives to improve the % GM aligned with businesses in the category. - Working capital reduction: Effectively addressing NMS / SMS under the purview of the category (RMs, SFGs) on a timely basis. - Regulatory compliance: Ensuring that the products developed in the category meet appropriate regulatory norms. - Continuous product improvement: Working on product revamp to achieve cost reduction and performance improvement. - Idea pipeline development: Building a pipeline of product / process ideas, initiating development of new & differentiated products, and using technology like chat GPT as a knowledge partner in the process. - R&D led innovation pipeline: Working on new and differentiated products / processes to create business opportunities. - IPR development: Working on potential areas of opportunities identified by CL and TL to develop IPRs for the organization and ensuring conversion of IPRs to products in relevant areas. - Competition understanding: Continuously tracking competition products w.r.t. various aspects. - Consumer understanding: Interacting with relevant consumers to generate insights and convert learnings to new business opportunities / research areas / claim platforms. - Process audit compliance: Being compliant with internal process audits related to data storage & management, documentation, and tech transfer. - Enhancing productivity of R&D: Complying with processes related to automation, outsourcing, etc aimed towards eliminating routine work. - Upskilling: Actively identifying relevant skill sets in new areas / technologies and getting trained to propel future research. Qualifications required for this role include: - Strong understanding of technical concepts in Chemistry / chemical engineering / Dairy or Food technology. - Critical observation skills. - Lateral thinking. - Prior knowledge / experience in surfactant / polymer applications. - Experience in developing cosmetic products / traditional food / dairy products.
