Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fitter & Machinist with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in machining, fitting, and assembly of mechanical components. The candidate must be capable of working independently, maintaining high precision, and ensuring quality standards in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform precision fitting, machining, and assembly of mechanical parts
Operate conventional machines such as lathe, milling, drilling, grinding, and shaping machines
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and tolerances
Carry out measurement and inspection using micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges, and dial indicators
Assemble, align, and install machinery components
Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment
Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per specifications
Follow safety standards and maintain a clean work environment
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams

Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Machinist, or Mechanical Trade
Certified technical qualification from a recognized institute
Strong knowledge of machining processes and mechanical fitting

Required Skills

Extensive experience in manual machining and fitting operations
Ability to work with close tolerances and precision measurements
Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of industrial safety practices
Ability to train and guide junior technicians
