Job Description

Fitters must be proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to understand the requirements for assembling molds, cores, and other foundry equipment.

Fitters are responsible for assembling and fitting together the various components of molds and cores according to the specifications provided. This may involve assembling patterns, cores, and gating systems to create molds that accurately reproduce the desired casting shape.

Fitters perform routine maintenance and repairs on molds and cores to ensure they remain in good working condition. This may involve cleaning, sanding, patching, and replacing damaged components to extend the lifespan of the molds and cores
