Job Description

Firewall Engineer – L2

Location: Chennai
Experience: 5-8 Years
Work Mode: WFO (Work From Office)

Roles & Responsibilities:

Strong knowledge with minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in 2 or more security domains, including:

– Firewalls: Checkpoint / Palo Alto / Fortinet / Cisco
– Web ATP: Palo Alto
– Firewall Rule Analyzer: AlgoSec
– Network Intrusion Prevention System (NIPS): Cisco
– Malicious IP Blocking: NetScout

Firewall policy management, optimization, and fine-tuning using AlgoSec
Review firewall change requests as per customer-defined security standards
Monitor network security devices to identify and prevent potential outages
Analyze alarms triggered in NIPS / ATP and report incidents to customers
Coordinate with OEM vendors for troubleshooting and operational support
Handle daily ticket management (change requests and service requests)
Perform daily backups of all SOC devices and move data to external storage
