Fire Protection Engineer

As a Fire Protection Engineer at ME Engineers with 5+ years of experience, you will be responsible for various aspects of sprinkler design, including hydraulic calculations and drawing preparation. You will play a crucial role in coordinating piping layout with other trades and reviewing and producing detailed fire protection schematics such as Fire Sprinkler Protection, Foam enhanced Fire Protection, Gas Protection, Firewater Mist Protection, Inert Gas Protection & Special Hazard Fire Protection. Your key responsibilities will also include the preparation of design drawings covering all fire protection elements, liaising and coordinating with members of the client team, and assisting with the preparation of technical documentation for the issue of tenders and construction. You will be expected to close out all project items, review any lessons learned, and prepare hydraulic calculations and project submittal drawings. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and related software, as well as possess knowledge of AEC disciplines, MEP, architectural, and structural standards. Your ability to work independently and collaboratively with other disciplines, designers, engineers, architects, and clients to convert information into layout designs, drawings, and models using REVIT and AutoCAD will be essential. Additionally, your role will involve deciphering information received from various formats, such as sketches, BIM Execution Plans, and Architectural drawings. You should have an interest in working in an international environment and demonstrate a strong understanding and experience in delivering LOD 200 to 400 BIM models using BIM Software. Knowledge of BIM360, Ravitzo, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) will be advantageous. To meet the essential criteria for this role, you must have previous experience in the fire protection industry, good written English skills, and proficiency in communication. Competent working knowledge of applicable standards, the ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering plans, and proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD are required. Experience in working on UK, US, or GULF projects, good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously are also crucial.
