Fire & Life Safety Senior Engineer / Consultant - Mumbai (Hospitality)

As a Fire & Life Safety Senior Engineer / Consultant at Jensen Hughes, you will play a crucial role in managing and working on hospitality projects throughout India. Working alongside locally based colleagues and reporting to the Middle East Hospitality Lead with a dotted line to the Managing Director - India, you will be based in Mumbai with responsibilities spanning across the country. Your role will involve approximately 50% travel to project sites within India, and you may have the option for hybrid work arrangements. Your main responsibilities will include managing projects and coordinating the technical workload of hospitality projects, attending client meetings, conducting design reviews, preparing technical reports and presentations, carrying out site compliance audits, and leading design reviews. Your solid technical understanding of Fire and Life Safety principles, coupled with excellent communication and organizational skills, will be essential for this client-facing role. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Technical Degree in Fire Engineering or equivalent, have at least 5 years of experience in Fire engineering, and possess relevant experience in Code consulting, design, and design review of fire suppression & alarm systems. While being a Chartered Engineer or PE is highly desirable, it is not essential. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team, coupled with strong project management capabilities and understanding of project financial management, will be key to your success in this role.
