FIRE HYDRANT AND SPRINKLER SYSTEM SITE ENGINEER Responsibilities and job duties: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Firefighting Projects (Hydrant, Sprinkler, Fire Alarm, Gas based Fire Suppression System, Fire Extinguisher, etc.) 1. Site Supervision & Execution Oversee the installation of fire hydrant and sprinkler systems as per approved drawings and specifications. Monitor daily activities and ensure timely execution of tasks on site. Ensure correct placement of pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, and hydrants. 2. Technical Coordination Coordinate with design engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders. Interpret technical drawings (e.g., layout, schematic, riser diagrams). Assist in resolving technical issues or conflicts at the site. 3. Quality Assurance Conduct inspections to ensure materials and workmanship meet quality standards and NFPA/IS codes. Verify installation against safety regulations and project requirements. Witness hydrostatic pressure testing, pump testing, and commissioning activities. 4. Material Management Check and verify the quality and quantity of delivered fire system materials. Prepare material requirement sheets and coordinate with the procurement team.
