FinOps Consultant

As a Backend Engineer with FinOps experience at OpsLyft, you will be responsible for developing scalable backend systems, integrating cloud cost optimization workflows, and collaborating closely with FinOps teams to automate cost governance and monitoring. Your key responsibilities will include: Backend Development: - Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend services. - Creating RESTful and GraphQL APIs for cost optimization and cloud management solutions. - Optimizing database queries and ensuring high availability of backend systems. FinOps & DevOps Integration: - Collaborating with FinOps and CloudOps teams to implement cost optimization best practices. - Developing tools for tracking, analyzing, and optimizing cloud costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Building automation for cost anomaly detection, budgeting, and forecasting. - Creating integrations with AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, and GCP Billing APIs. Infrastructure & Automation: - Implementing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation. - Enhancing CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments in Kubernetes and cloud-native environments. - Automating monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog. Requirements: Must-Have Skills: - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Node.js, or Golang. - Strong experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB). - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Experience in FinOps/Cloud Cost Optimization tools and APIs. Nice-to-Have Skills: - Knowledge of scripting for cost optimization automation. - Relevant certifications in AWS, FinOps, or Google Cloud.
