Job Description

As a Financial Reporting Associate, your role will involve preparing financial reports for the Head Office, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Off-Balance Sheet, disclosures, regulatory and prudential reporting schedules, and conducting analytical reviews. You will handle ad-hoc financial reporting requests from the Head Office and assist in inter-company transaction reconciliations. Your responsibilities will also include preparing and posting daily/monthly accounting entries such as accruals and MTM bookings, ensuring balance sheet accuracy through control checks and reconciliation schedules, and performing reconciliations between source systems and the general ledger. You will review ledgers, conduct account/transaction analysis for assigned entities, and perform variance analysis on revenue and balance sheet items while preparing month-end substantiation packages for multiple legal entities. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare financial reports for Head Office including P&L, Balance Sheet, Off-Balance Sheet, disclosures, regulatory and prudential reporting schedules, and analytical reviews - Handle ad-hoc financial reporting requests from Head Office - Assist in inter-company transaction reconciliations - Prepare and post daily/monthly accounting entries (accruals, MTM bookings, etc.) - Ensure balance sheet accuracy through control checks and reconciliation schedules - Perform reconciliations between source systems and the general ledger; identify and resolve gaps - Review ledgers and conduct account/transaction analysis for assigned entities - Perform variance analysis on revenue and balance sheet items; highlight trends and address queries - Prepare month-end substantiation packages for multiple legal entities Qualifications Required: - Candidates from an MBA (Finance) background or CA Interns can apply - Candidates with experience in IFRS / US GAAP and strong accounting knowledge, including balance sheet preparation, will be preferred In terms of technical and behavioral competencies, you are expected to have a strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS or Ind AS), experience in bookkeeping, transaction recording, and reconciliations, and a good understanding of financial and banking products. Proficiency in MS Excel is necessary, with familiarity in Lotus Notes, MS Word, and Outlook being beneficial.
