As a Financial Analyst at Google, you play a crucial role in ensuring sound financial decisions are made. Your expertise in financial planning and analysis will be utilized to model business scenarios, track performance metrics, and provide insightful recommendations to senior management. You will be involved in supporting the creation and maintenance of data center region Profit and Loss (PL) performance, conducting cross-functional analyses, and identifying opportunities for margin improvement across Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your ability to work with data to produce analysis, generate insights, and develop strategies will be key in driving business outcomes in a fast-paced environment. - **Support the creation and maintenance of data center region Profit and Loss (PL) performance for total Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Perform diligence and report out quarterly to leadership on region performance against expectations. - Support cross-functional analyses with key Go-To-Market (GTM) and product partners to better understand customer and infrastructure performance. - Develop annual plan forecast that aligns with sales and product business Annual Operating Plan (AOP). - Analyze new metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). - Develop goals for regions based on defining characteristics (e.g., maturity, size, etc.). - Identify opportunities for margin improvement across GCP data center regions. - Help size the opportunity of various divestment or sales strategies as part of the program. - Partner with sales, product, and others to generate region level business and margin forecasts. - **Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. - 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FPA), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
