Job Description

In this role at Planify Capital, you will be a vital part of the finance team, focusing on financial planning & analysis (FP&A), investment monitoring, reporting, and strategic decision-making. Your contribution will be crucial, especially considering the requirement of CFA Level III clearance. If you perform well during the 3-month internship, there is a possibility of conversion to a full-time position. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist in preparing monthly & quarterly financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management. - Build, update, and maintain financial models to support business units and investment decisions. - Analyze business performance through variance analysis, identifying drivers, preparing commentary, and actionable insights. - Support investment/portfolio monitoring by evaluating key metrics, tracking performance, and preparing investment memos/scorecards. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and align on financial planning. - Help implement and enhance reporting tools and processes, focusing on process improvements and automation in Excel/BI tools. - Conduct ad-hoc financial and market research and present findings. - Ensure adherence to internal controls, document assumptions and model logic, and support audit/tracking activities. - Assist with employer branding and internal communications by preparing finance-related content for stakeholder updates. **Required Qualifications & Skills:** - Cleared CFA Level III (or equivalent qualification) is mandatory. - Masters degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or equivalent; MBA/PG Diploma in Finance is a plus. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ideally PowerPoint. - Basic knowledge of financial modeling, valuations, budgeting & forecasting. - Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make actionable recommendations. - Good written & verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders. - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Prior internship or project experience in finance, FP&A, investments, or related domain is advantageous. - Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) or SQL is a plus, though not mandatory. **Preferred Attributes:** - Demonstrated interest in capital markets, investments, or corporate finance. - Proactive attitude towards process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements. - Team player with a collaborative approach, yet capable of working independently. - Comfortable in a startup/scale-up environment with dynamic and evolving roles.
