Job Description

Job Title: Finance Executive Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Finance Executive to oversee and manage our finance and accounting operations in our fast-growing startup. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, managing payroll, handling invoicing, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This role also includes coordinating with vendors and internal teams to streamline expense management and financial reporting, thereby safeguarding our financial integrity drive operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Bookkeeping: Record and maintain accurate financial transactions using ERP/accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks). Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow and flag discrepancies promptly. GST & Tax Compliance: Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns. Ensure timely reconciliation of GST input credits and address related queries. Assist in the preparation and filing of TDS returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Payroll Management: Process monthly employee salaries and manage statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.). Generate salary slips and maintain detailed payroll documentation. Invoicing & Payments: Generate GST-compliant invoices for clients and manage both accounts receivable and payable. Handle vendor payments, utility bills, and subscription renewals. Expense & Vendor Management: Process employee reimbursements with proper documentation for GST claimable expenses. Foster strong relationships to ensure timely payments and smooth operations. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in preparing balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to inform decision-making. Compliance & Audits: Ensure all financial records are audit-ready and coordinate with external auditors during reviews. Implement and maintain internal financial controls and compliance with statutory regulations. General Administration: Oversee day-to-day office financial administration, including petty cash management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support additional finance-related tasks as needed. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Masters or professional certifications such as CA/CPA Inter are a plus). 1-4 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills. Strong understanding of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and statutory compliances. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High integrity and strong attention to detail.
