Field Service Engineer 1

Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer at Emerson, you will be responsible for implementing PSS - DeltaV DCS services and providing system support for various systems such as Guardian, DeltaV Batch, DeltaV SIS, Charms SIS, DeltaV Charms, VIM, and third-party communication. Your role will also involve generating leads for KOB3 business opportunities and delivering services in alignment with SMO standards. Key Responsibilities: - Manage DeltaV installed base of 200 systems across the Central region. - Handle 30-35 Active AMC / Service Contracts for Maintenance Contract Execution, consuming 200220 site visit days annually including travel. - Achieve a billing value of 180-200 KUSD from allocated sites. - Generate additional revenue of 25-30 KUSD by adding new service contracts in the region. - Improve the current Operational Efficiency of the region from 97% to below 90%. Qualifications Required: - Technical skills: Ability to work as a team member or independently, knowledge of Distributed Control System (DCS) is a basic requirement. - Industry knowledge: Familiarity with Metal & Mining / Chemical Industry / Refinery is an added advantage. - Technical expertise: Knowledge of Batch, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, Networking, Safety Systems, handling of Charms I/O, proficiency in Cybersecurity, and familiarity with AMS is preferred. - Interaction: Capable of receiving guidance from a mentor, collaborating with team members, and leading interactions with other sites and departments. - Customer Focus: Engage in increased customer interaction, collaborate within a team or with a senior engineer, and work independently with customers or the sales force. - Industry Awareness: Take initiative to understand the industry landscape, project execution, service offerings, EPM market trends, customer segments, and overall business requirements. - Providing Solutions: Strong general knowledge base, developing expertise in a specific service area, relevant certifications, and continuous skill-building. - Improving the Process: Actively learn and apply process improvement methodologies, participate in implementing process changes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Education Qualifications: - B.E. / B. Tech in Instrumentation / ECE/ Electrical. Candidates with degrees in other engineering teams and experience in a similar field can be considered.
