Field Counsellor Patient Assistance Program (PAP) Support Position : Field Counsellor Department : Backend Support Location : Mumbai, Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), Calicut (Kerala) Reports to : Patient Support Lead Role Overview The Field Counsellor is a pivotal, field-based role responsible for assisting patients and their families in navigating and enrolling in Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs). This position involves direct interaction with patients at hospitals and homes, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources throughout their treatment journey. Key Responsibilities Patient Enrollment : Engage with patients and their families to provide clear information about the enrollment process in assistance programs. Eligibility Verification & Documentation : Assess patient eligibility, manage documentation, and input details into the CRM system. Follow-Up & Monitoring : Ensure patients receive the intended benefits and monitor their satisfaction with the programs. Audit Participation : Assist in audits conducted by pharmaceutical companies to ensure compliance and quality standards. Field Visits : Conduct visits to hospitals and patients' homes as required, providing personalized support. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Science, Pharmacy, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, or a related field; Masters degree or equivalent experience preferred. Proven experience in a counseling or social work role, ideally within the healthcare sector. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and their families. Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care and support. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule to accommodate patient needs. Knowledge of cancer and critical care treatments, support services, and community resources. Proficiency in using computer systems and patient management software. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field visits.
