Description
As a Field Application Engineer Manager 1 at AMD, you will be the technical interface for AMD's commercial products with commercial end customers in the INDIA region. Your role will involve providing technical support for AMD's commercial products, including commercial server (CPU & GPU) with a focus on HPC. You will engage with large INDIA end customers to demonstrate how AMD technology can address their needs and provide technical support for AMD's HPC pipeline. Building confidence with key customer influencers, overcoming technical objections, and handling technical escalations will be crucial for success in this role. You must have a strong technical knowledge base, effective communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders, and proficiency in troubleshooting common server applications and workloads on AMD hardware with priority end customers. Key Responsibilities: - Develop technical relationships with target end customer accounts and OEM partners - Win new HPC opportunities by establishing technical solutions based on AMD technology - Collaborate with AMD internal teams to build technical presentations and documentation - Optimize workloads and applications on AMD-based commercial solutions for priority pipeline opportunities - Deliver technical presentations and sales pitches to influence new AMD sales with customers and partners Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 6+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 4+ years of experience - Knowledge in CPU and server system architecture, server benchmarks, GPU computing, and server platform enablement - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex problems involving cross-functional teams - Experience in leading IT/Technology sales engineers - Good hands-on knowledge of server hardware ecosystem and server software ecosystem including OS/Hypervisors, Compilers, Libraries, debug tools, and validation workloads - Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows based server operating systems - Excellent organizational and communication skills with a good balance of hardware, architecture, and software expertise In this role, you will provide technical assistance to INDIA sales personnel and end customers in the evaluation, design, and development of AMD-based server solutions. You will build business and technical acumen to gain further "mindshare" within the customer base, qualify and prioritize sales opportunities, and collaborate with sales in determining possible applications of AMD-based products and solutions. You will also stay updated on competitive solutions, articulate AMD's technology offerings across multiple verticals, and assist with solution development/architectural design to meet specific customer needs. Additionally, you will be involved in installing and testing solutions in-house, providing expert-level technical assistance to end customer development and software teams, and managing the execution of evaluation plans for successful deployments.
