Fellow (Cardiac Anaesthesia)

You will be responsible for providing medical cover, both routine and emergency, during your duty hours at our medical institute in Mumbai. It is essential to maintain a professional approach with all patients, staff, and visitors at all times. You will collaborate with other specialties to ensure comprehensive care for patients. Adherence to clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols is mandatory, including wearing appropriate protective gear and practicing proper hand hygiene. Your role will involve actively participating in classroom and bedside teaching programs for postgraduate students and RMOs. Identifying complex health issues and promptly reporting them to the attending physician will be part of your responsibilities. Supervision of postgraduate students and daily clinical management of patients, in coordination with the nurse team leaders and under the guidance of Consultants, will be required. You should be able to prescribe pain management medication when necessary. Effective communication with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals is crucial. All treatment orders must be written in capital letters, dated, named, and signed by you. You will assist consultants during rounds, take independent rounds, and follow up on patients for ongoing care. Writing discharge summaries, adhering to on-call and duty rota schedules, and participating in Quality Improvement Initiatives are also part of your responsibilities.
