Fashion Production Assistant

Role Overview: As an Assistant Production Merchandiser in Noida, you will be responsible for managing product development, merchandising, sourcing, supplier management, and logistics coordination. Your role will involve in-house production co-ordination as well as oversight of outsourced vendors. Key Responsibilities: - Manage product development including reviewing samples for construction, fall, fit, drape, and wash, from material sourcing to supplier negotiations, and ensuring timely production as per design. - Ensure alignment of all raw materials (fabrics, trims & accessories), job workers (print, dyeing, embroidery, etc.), and internal and external production teams for timely delivery. - Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with partners and vendors. - Develop, evaluate, and present pre-development samples. - Monitor and evaluate product performance in terms of fit, construction, and durability, and make necessary adjustments. - Create bill of material for bulk orders and production runs. - Align sourcing of raw materials for bulk production. - Plan and align production resources for smooth production flows. - Source, develop, and procure raw materials, trims, accessories, and job workers. - Ensure timely planning, ordering, and follow-up of raw materials to avoid any timeline surprises. - Visit job workers and factories regularly to track production progress. - Coordinate with various teams such as Design, Production, Procurement, and Category. - Maintain detailed logs and updates for fabric, trims, and accessories development and procurement, sampling and production status, and master sheets for the website. Qualifications Required: - Previous experience in production merchandising or a related field. - Strong understanding of product development processes and sourcing. - Good communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. - Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Textiles, Fashion Design, or related field preferred.
