Fashion Designer

As a Fashion Designer at Iris Couture, you will be responsible for developing fresh and innovative designs that align with our brand identity. Your role will involve creating mood boards, sketches, and digital illustrations for each collection while curating seasonal themes, fabric choices, and embellishment ideas to enhance our product offerings. In collaboration with the production team, tailors, and artisans, you will oversee the production process to bring your designs to life. This includes conducting fit trials, making adjustments for fit, style, and finishing, as well as preparing detailed technical sheets and specifications for each garment to ensure quality and consistency. Your keen eye for detail and strong understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, and embellishment techniques will be crucial in maintaining our premium quality standards. You will also be responsible for checking and approving embroidery, fabric finishes, and trims before production to guarantee the excellence of the final product. Staying updated on fashion trends and customer preferences is essential in this role. You will be expected to provide insights and suggestions on fresh concepts, cuts, and detailing to keep our collections unique and appealing to our target market. To qualify for this position, you should have a degree or diploma in Fashion Design and a minimum of 2 years of experience in boutique, couture, or luxury fashion design. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW is required. Additionally, you must possess excellent organizational skills, an ability to work to deadlines, and a strong creative vision.
